Welcome to the results of Song Contest 22!

Before we begin, sign ups are officially open for Song Contest 23!

SC23 Entry Deadline - Wednesday 13th July - 11:59pm GMT

Please check the home page for full details on how to enter.

A quick note: Ties are broken based on which country has the most 12 points. If that is tied we look at 10 points, then 8, 7 and so on. If there is a tie all the way down, they will be shown in alphabetical order.

Additionally we have a non-participating country voting this time (Hollywood) so keep an eye out for that.

Finally, Andorra failed to vote, and therefore will receive 20 point penalties.

For those who wish to remind themselves of which country entered what song, you can check the past entries page here.

Now... onto the Results!

Puerto Rico are first to give their results

1.jpg

The Gap In The Map start off in the lead, Andorra get a good start at removing their minus points, and a huge chunk of countries are, obviously, still on zero points, let's head over to Sad-Onion (pronounced Sar-dinion I'm reliably informed) and see their points.

2.jpg

The Gap In The Map double their points early on, with a decent lead after just two countries. But with so many to go who knows what will happen? And they're up next as well, just what will that do to their lead?

3.jpg

And just like that The Gap In The Map drop down to second place as The Feywild take the top spot, and Exandria are in third. Six countries are stuck on zero points as well. At least one of them is going to stay there as France give their results!

4.jpg

And the top spot changes once again as Exandria take over, while The Feywild drop back into third place, only just ahead of Tortuga. It's still extremely early though, so let's find out if Exandria can retain their position as we go over to Germany.

5.jpg

And no they cannot, as The Feywild return to first place once again! Looking further down the pack, after the first five countries have voted, we can see that there's very little between third and eigthth, and just three countries remain with nobody voting for them. France, Germany and Jamaica. Hyrule comes forward to give their points!

6.jpg

The Feywild stay in first, and keep the seven point lead they had as Exandria fall back to third. Sad-Onion get a solid 12 points which gives them a much needed boost, but they are still only on half the points of the leader at this point. At the back of the pack Jamaica got their first points which leaves just France and Germany on zero. It's also time for Hollywood, our non-participating country, to give their votes!

7.jpg

Another twelve points for Sad-Onion takes them into fifth place, but The Feywild are still in the lead and extend it to 10 points ahead of second place. But both France and Germany manage to get off the starting block and make decent headway, but there's a long way to go if they're to have any chance. Let's go over to our current leaders, The Feywild, and see what their votes are.

8.jpg

Three twelves in a row for Sad-Onion put them just a single point behind our leaders! The top end of things is closing up again, but a large divide is happening already as the top ten are separated by thirty points and we aren't even halfway through the results. At the bottom of the table Andorra have moved into positive points finally. Anything can happen as we go to Egland for their votes!

9.jpg

And Sad-Onion move into the top spot as The Feywild drop back to third! Tortuga and No Man's Land are neck and neck for 4th We are nearing the halfway mark as Germanyland come forward to give their results!

10.jpg

Nothing for our leaders Sad-Onion, and only minor points for The Gap In The Map, allowing the rest of the field to close in, but simultaneously widening the gap from the bottom half of the entries. We now look to Cameroon to be our mid-point country and see how things are looking after 11 countries have voted.

11.jpg

And it seems Sad-Onion is still in the lead at the halfway point, but No Man's Land has jumped into second place. Further back our past leaders The Gap In The Map are still only three points behind the leaders, and The Feywild are still 7 points behind as they tie with Utopia. Let's go over to Zimbabwe and see what they do.

12.jpg

Twelve points to Hyrule, giving them a nice boost, as Germanyland take a solid ten points, but more importantly is the fact no points went to Sad-Onion, and so No Man's Land is able to take first place now. But for how long is not known as they are immediately up to give their results!

13.jpg

Sad-Onion return to first place with a strong 10 points. France also take the twelve, finally giving them a chance to be in the top 10 for the first time tonight. Germanyland also with a seemingly steady climb up the rankings so far it would appear. Will Bearville continue Germanyland's climb, or will they halt it here?

14.jpg

Both Germanyland and France get solid points there, as does The Gap In The Map who are again just a single point away from the top spot, with No Man's Land hot on their heels. We are getting close to the end of the voting, and it's still anyone's for the taking. Let's go over and see what Tortuga have for us.

15.jpg

The Gap In The Map move to the top spot, while Germanyland continue their climb and get to third. But there's a large gap between Sad-Onion and Germanyland, so will any country be able to conquer the lead that our top two countries have creatied? Let's find out as we go over to Exandria!

16.jpg

And Germanyland does indeed close that gap pretty strongly, while France moves up to fourth place, despite getting no points for a lot of the early voting. Looking back down to the bottom of our field, Puerto Rico, Jamaica and Andorra can no longer get enough points to be able to win and have been coloured red to show this. Now it's over to Archipelago for their results!

17.jpg

Twelve points to Andorra doesn't do a great deal, but ten points for Germanyland certainly does! Sad-Onion appear to have stalled on 72 points, and France is continuing their climb up the board. At the bottom Zanzibar, Germany and Bearville have fallen out of the running for first. Let's look over to our last place country for their results.

18.jpg

There goes over half of our runners in one fell swoop, but on the other end of the board Germanyland extend their lead by thirteen points. We only have three more countries to give out points, and only seven countries stand a chance at victory (Utopia is out as the threshold is 55 points, but they also are yet to give their points, as they cannot give themselves points, they cannot win). Let's see what Zanzibar does for everyone!

19.jpg

Only two points for Germanyland allow France to catch up and move to second, it's a definite underdog story for the long term zero pointers. Only Egland has fallen out of the running this time, leaving just six countries with a chance at the top spot and just two countries left to give points, who will win? Let's get the penultimate votes from Utopia!

20.jpg

A very close run thing for No Man's Land, Zimbabwe and Sad-Onion, but sadly for them it wasn't quite enough for the top spot. With only one country left to vote it's even an uphil climb to get into the top three. Speaking of the top three, Germanyland get zero points which allows both France and The Gap In The Map to close said gap, there's just eight points in it. So let's go over to Blue Skies and see who is given the victory.

1st: Germanyland - a-ha - Take On Me

And with a record breaking 103 points, Germanyland get their first win in the Song Contest! France come up second with a very respectable 95 points, and The Gap In The Map take third with 92. A huge gap between third and fourth show that it really was a three horse race this time.
