Welcome to the results of Song Contest 43!

Before we begin, sign ups are officially open for Song Contest 44.

SC44 Entry Deadline:

Thursday 10th October - 11:59pm GMT

Please check the home page for full details on how to enter.

Reminder:  ties are not really shown in any form of order, merely what the program outputs them as. I'll manually edit the final image if there is a tie amongst the top 3 countries, but if it's lower down it will be noted in the text and on the Previously Entered song list.

Bonus Note: The live Song Contest will take place as part of Song Contest 46 as things currently stand. Entries will be open as usual after Song Contest 45, with normal restrictions, plus the added restriction of limiting video length to 3:30. This means the entire video, not just the song playing, keep this in mind. The contest will proceed as normal, with everyone able to vote online as usual, but some will be invited to watch live and vote on November 30th.

For now, on with the results!

First up Ramboland!

Early voting shows last winners Romania taking the early lead. Will they be able to pull the rarely done double? Let's go over to Ambrosia and see if they remain in first.

2.png

NUSA takes the top spot as Romania drop back to second. Still a long way to go though so let's get Easter Island's votes next!

3.png

No change for the top two, but Vault 101 join Romania in joint second place. At the bottom end Easter Island and Bosnia are the only two left with no points. It's Bosnia up next though, so nothing can change for them, but will Easter Island's fortune change?

4.png

It doesn't, and both remain at the bottom. NUSA stays in first but things have closed up behind them. Vault 101 has moved forward from Romania, but Japan is in second. Vault 101 is up next too so they won't be advancing just yet, but wil they move around that four way tie beneath them?

5.png

And it's all change but more ties have been created in doing so. Bosnia jumps from the bottom though with a full twelve points leaving Easter Island as the only country yet to be given points. Will the UK fix things for them?

6.png

Apparently not, but it is another twelve for Bosnia which moves them into fourth! NUSA remain in first however, with Vault 101 sitting in second place and Romania right behind them. We now go over to Japan for their results!

7.png

NUSA is finally knocked off the top as Midgard leap into first seeming out of nowhere, knocking NUSA back into second place, while further down Phyrexia, Strangaal and Utopia III all are tied on twenty six points, it's very close for most countries, and it's Alaria up next to give their results in.

8.png

And another big tie as Midgard, Vault 101 and Phyrexia are now in joint second place. Romania have returned to the top spot, but they're only leading by two points, in fact, over half of the field are less than twelve points behind Romania making it anyone's to win. Let's see how Elysium's results change the standings.

9.png

Speaking of it being anyone's for the taking, Hallownest jump into first, with Phyrexia sitting in second, and Easter Island have finally received points and gotten off the starting mark! It's still possible for them to win, but for now let us check in with Poland and get their results.

10.png

That definitely opens up the board as Phyrexia take a pretty strong, at least for the contest so far, lead over second place. That said we're only just past the halfway point and that means there's plenty of time for others to move back up, especially as Phyrexia are up next!

11.png

Phyrexia retain the top spot, but as expected their lead has closed significantly. Romania and Japan tie for second place, but those big ties further down appear to have been broken. Let's check in with Midgard now!

12.png

Back to first for Hallownest, and Easter Island get a few more points but aren't any closer to getting off the bottom. Japan also breaks away from the pack somewhat as they take second place. Let's see what the United States has for us.

13.png

Midgard moving up to join Japan on sixty points is what they have, along with Easter Island getting a solid ten points. Hallownest stay in first though. We're nearing the home stretch though, so we're soon to be eliminating countries from the running. Let's go over to Germanyland for their results.

14.png

Just a single point between Hallownest and Japan now. We're getting a big gap forming between the top of the pack and the middle of it as well. That doesn't mean it's impossible for them to win yet though as a maximum of sixty points is still available for most countries. So it's still all to play for. With just five countries left to vote let's find out what NUSA voted for!

15.png

Hallownest drop to third there and Phyrexia takes the lead once more! United States, Rambowland and Easter Island have all, however, dropped out of the running for first unfortunately. Next up is Hallownest, will they fall out of the top three, or push those above them further up? Let's find out!

16.png

The answer is both, they fall back to fourth while also giving Phyrexia a strong push, but Japan moves up to be close behind them. At the same time the entirety of the right hand side of the board has dropped out of the running. Next up, Utopia III.

17.png

Japan take the top spot! And Phyrexia move back to third! It's very close at the top of the board, especially as Anyone beneath Alaria have been eliminated, as have Romania unfortunately as they can only get twelve points out of the final two countries as they themselves are one of them. Speaking of which, lets check in with them!

18.png

As is likely very obvious, only the top three now have a chance to win, and only two points separate them. Possibly one of the closest, if not the closest, penultimate results screen we've ever had. It all comes down to this final batch of votes. We know the top three, nothing can get in between them, but what will the final order be? Strangaal, over to you!

19.png

1st: Phyrexia - Relient K - Be My Escape

Phyrexia take the top spot with 104 points! Finishing with three more points than they did just two contests ago! Proving themselves a very consistant country in these contests.

Further down we have a four way tie, the way that works out is Bosnia are highest with two twelve points, NUSA are next as they received a twelve and a ten, then Elysium as they took a twelve but didn't get a ten, and Poland come fourth as they received no twelves at all.

Thankyou to all who entered, and I hope to see you all back for the next one. Remember the live contest coming up in November (it should work out to number 46) and be aware that will be limited on song length as stated above.

Be sure to check the main page for which artists are banned.

As always entries are open for the next Song Contest, so please enter in the usual way, and please be sure to vote if you enter as it does take away from the effort others put in to listen to all of the entries and from the amount of time it takes to edit everything for everyone to enjoy.
