Welcome to the results of Song Contest 46!

Temporary Hiatus Until Early 2025

Note: The results aren't as detailed this time thanks to the main results being done this past Saturday during the live reveal.

Reminder:  ties are not really shown in any form of order, merely what the program outputs them as. I'll manually edit the final image if there is a tie amongst the top 3 countries, but if it's lower down it will be noted in the text and on the Previously Entered song list.

Unfortunately 6 countries failed to vote, these are: Ally Country, Ambrosia, Denmark, Hallownest, Phyrexia and Under Three Mins Town. They all have received -20 points.

Now... onto the Results

We start off with Alaria!

1.png

An early lead for Holy Terra, but a long way to go! Over to School of Hard Knocks!

2.png

Germanyland now take the lead, and currently 5 countries have no points, Alaria, School of Hard Knocks and USA, all still on zero, and Ally Country and Hallownest left on minus twenty. Over to Guthlaxtown for their results!

3.png

UK now take the lead, with Holy Terra only a single point behind them. USA remain on zero, while Ally Country are the only country left on minus twenty. It's Holy Terra up next, so over to them!

4.png

UK remain in the lead and are ahead by a solid nine points. Holy Terra have dropped out of the top three with Coruscant and Spice World in second and third respectively. Let's see if Spice World change things!

5.png

The UK stay in first, and not much changes for their lead. USA get their first point finally, leaving Ally Country as the only country yet to receive a single point! Over to Y Ty Neidr for their votes as we move to the second half of the votes!

6.png

UK clinging on in first still but the gap has closed significantly as Spice World are now just two points behind them, and Germanyland are just two behind second! USA are up next with their results.

7.png

Holy Terra are back in the top three with a much needed twelve points, but UK take the ten and that keeps them in the top spot. At the bottom Ally Country have finally received their first points! Over to Utopia III for their votes.

8.png

Deutschland take Utopia III's top marks, but UK remain in first. Holy Terra are closing on them again though. At the bottom end only Hallownest and Ally Country are left on negative points. With four countries left to vote USA and lower are definitely out of the running, But for everyone else there's a chance. It's over to Germanyland for their results!

9.png

No points at all for UK and they disappear from the top spot as Spice World move into first and Deutschland take second! Deutschland are still to vote though so could they ruin things for themselves? Let's find out!

10.png

And no points at all go to our first place, meaning our entire left hand side, except Coruscant, have a chance still. The UK are up next however so it's possible for them to knock themselves out of the running. Let's check in with them for the penultimate vote!

11.png

And they don't, but only barely! The UK and Holy Terra are eleven points behind first place. Both would need twelve points with Spice World receiving none for them to win, Deutschland in second also need a solid placing from Coruscant to have a shot at winning this too. So let's check in with the final votes of 2024...

1st: Holy Terra - The Ink Spots - I Don't Want To Set The World On Fire

Holy Terra take the top spot by a nose! No points to Spice World knock them into second place, with Germanyland taking up the third spot, leaving UK just talling out of the top three.

Looking at the three way tie of 30 points, Under Three Mins town came 9th with two twelves, Guthlaxtown came 10th with one, Alaria came 11th with none.

The 25 point ties are broken with Coruscant coming 12th as they received a 10 point vote, and School of Hard Knocks came 13th as their highest vote was 6 points.

Thanks to those who entered, and those who showed up for the live contest. I'll be back likely after February in 2025!
