We have one non-voter this time, so Flapland will lose 20 points. Everyone else voted!

Now... onto the Results

We start off with a bonus voter. As always anyone is allowed to vote, regardless of entry into the contest, and so the State of Boob Boom is up first to give their results!

Guthlaxtown taking the early lead, and five countries still yet to get out of the starting blocks. Flapland already starting to move back to the positive points. Up next is Tyland!

Guthlaxtown remain in first, with England and Storms of Hades following closely behind. Flapland is already only three points behind where they would have started. Meaning had they voted that would be in second place right now. WIll they still win despite losing twenty points? We'll find out soon enough. For now it's over to Storms of Hades for their points.

Twelve points to Flapland move them high up the right hand side of the board, meaning they would be in the lead had they voted. As it is England are in first, with Guthlaxtown in second, and Utopia III in third. Isle of Dogs and USA are yet to receive points though. Hallownest are up next.

England remain in the lead despite not receiving any points. Guthlaxtown are just a single point behind them, and Storms of Hades move up to joint third with Alaria. It's very close at the top, but at the bottom USA have finally received their first points, while Isle of Dogs unfortunately still have zero, and they'll remain that way as they are up next.

Alaria and Utopia III now tie for first and England again receive zero points, dropping them to third. USA however start leaping upwards with a solid twelve points. Will it be reciprocated as we check in on them next?

And it is, Isle of Dogs get the twelve from USA. The tie in first has been broken as Alaria take the lead, with Utopia III and Independent Republic of Yeb taking joint second place at this time. We're nearing the halfway point, and all could still change. Let's go over to Phyrexia for their votes.

Their twelve go to Hallownest which jumps Hallownest up to first place! Alaria however are still just a single point behind. We're about to cross the halfway mark as we go over to Nik Cooper for their (his?) votes!

Hallownest remain in first, but Utopia III move up to second place with just a single point between them. We're now officially into the second half of the voting, and it's still anyone's game. Flapland could still gain the top spot, as could Phyrexia and Isle of Dogs. It's all to play for as we check in with out previous leaders England to get their votes.

Another twelve for Guthlaxtown, but it only gets them up to fifth place. Utopia III now move into first as Hallownest drop back to second, tying with Independent Republic of Yeb at just one point behind our leaders. Isle of Dogs at the bottom end have finally moved up off the bottom of the board! Alaria are up next with their results.

Tyland get a solid twelve there, bringing themselves up to just a single point behind Utopia III now. while Hallownest drop back to fourth. It's still very close at the top as we move into the final third of the voting. Let's check in with Poland for their results.

And now Tyland take the lead! Everyone seems to be jumping over each other as we near the end of the voting. With just four countries remaining to vote that means the maximum points available are fourty eight, so officially only Phyrexia are out of te running. Next up though is Germanyland.

Tyland remain in first, but Utopia III close the gap very slightly. But thanks to the ten points to Tyland everyone from Storms of Hades and below are now out of the running for first place. Independent Republic of Yeb is in the running, but they;re up next for their votes to be given, so will they remove themselves from the running or not? Let's find out!

Utopia III take eight points, which put them exactly twenty four points ahead of Independent Republic of Yeb, meaning a tie is possible, and it would come down to tiebreakers, and two twelves would allow Yeb to win on tiebreakers, so will they do it? Will Utopia III remain in first? Or will Tyland snatch the victory from them? Our penultimate votes come from Guthlaxtown.

Twelve points to England, which does nothing for the top end of the board, but Utopia III are nine points ahead. Only Tyland can catch them, and the final country to vote is Utopia III. Are they going to stay in first? Are they going to give enough points to Tyland for Tyland to take the victory? Let's find out now!

1st: Utopia III - Rag n Bone Man - Human

They give points to Tyland, but it's not enough. Utopia III are the official winners of Song Contest 49! Tyland take second place, and despite how close things were for a long time, Hallownest trail in third place.

Looking down the rest of the board, Yeb do take fourth based on tie breakers, and USA do finish ahead of Poland based on tiebreakers. A notable result is Flapland could have taken third place had they voted as they'd have finished on seventy eight points. But without knowing who would receive their points it's uncertain if Hallownest would have finished higher still.
