Welcome to the results of Song Contest 56!

Reminder: ties are not really shown in any form of order, merely what the program outputs them as. I'll manually edit the final image if there is a tie amongst the top 3 countries, but if it's lower down it will be noted in the text and on the Previously Entered song list.

Before we get into the results, two countries failed to vote. Norway and Phyrexia therefore will receive -20 points and if we get more than 26 entries in the next contest, will also be barred from entering it.

That said, it's time to get straight into the results with Denmark!

An early lead for Bearville, while Norway and Phyrexia stay on minus twenty. Lots to go however so let's get straight on with Vatican City.

And a tied first place with both The Lone Star State and Beach on fourteen points. Norway and Phyrexia also pick up points meaning only Hallownest and Super Earth remain on zero points received. Hallownest is up next!

Deep In The Forest take the top spot but only just, and Phyrexia joins Hallownest and Super Earth on zero points! Speaking of Super Earth, they're up next!

Twelve points to Hallownest means Super Earth are the only country left to receive any points! Beach at the top have moved into first place as well! Let's check in with The Lone Star State for their results!

And it's a two way tie for first, but Denmark doubles their score to get to third! It's over to Poland to see what they do with their points.

Super Earth finally get four points! Deep In The Forest take eight points and move to first place. Alaria are in second, but they're up next to give their results, so lets check in with them!

Super Earth take twelve full points there, finally getting some Democracy Rising going on. Norway are close to overcoming their negative point start too. Beach get seven points moving them up to second with just one point behind first too. It's over to Y Ty Neidr next!

At the halfway point Deep In The Forest are leading but not by much. Norway and Phyrexia have both fixed the negative points they received too. We still have half of the field left to vote through, so let's check in with The Dragon Republic of Descenton.

Twelve to Y Ty Neidr moves them up to fourth, but Deep In The Forest remain in first as the gap closes. Anaheim is up next to give their results!

Another twelve to Super Earth and they move to the left hand side of the rankings! At the top end however Deep In The Forest drop to third as both Beach and Alaria overtake them. But it's very close. Will Bearville change things up or extend the lead for Beach?

And Deep In The Forest take the lead once again! Alaria even overtakes Beach as well, who drop back to third place, with Y Ty Neidr bringing up the rear at the top of the board. We'll check in now with NWO for their results!

Deep In The Forest now taking a full twelve point lead over second, as Y Ty Neidr jumps from fourth to second. Super Earth return to the left side of the board, with Phyrexia just beneath them at the top of the right hand side. Iran is currently in last place and that won't change as we check in with them.

No change in first, but the gap has closed. While Beach jump back into the top three knocking Alaria down to fourth. We have just three countries left to vote, which means the maximum anyone can receive is thirty six points, so any country below Denmark is unfortunately out of the running to win. However both Deep In The Forest and Beach are yet to vote, and that could make all the difference! So first let's check in with Deep In The Forest.

And amazingly, at this late stage, we have a complete three way tie as far as points are considered right at the top of the rankings. We have at most twenty four points to be given, and Beach is yet to vote. Any country below Anaheim is unable to win at this stage. Germanyland is up next, will they break the tie at the top?

And they do! Beach takes first place, Y Ty Neidr is in second, and Deep In The Forest is third! There's just twelve points maximum to be given. Only the top three can win. If Beach gives Y Ty Neidr almost any points then Y Ty Neidr wins. If they give them zero then Beach wins, unless they also give high points to Deep In The Forest. The final results are...

Y Ty Neidr finish the contest on a nice even one hundred points! Beach take the second spot, with Deep In The Forest getting third place.

At the bottom, Germanyland does indeed finish above Iran as Germanyland received two 5 point votes, Iran only had one. Neither had any higher places than that.

Had Phrexia voted they would have finished on fifty seven points, just above Super Earth, taking seventh place. While Norway would have been on forty one points putting them just above Bearville in eleventh place. Barring their own votes changing things of course.

Get your entries in for April as they open now, and remember, the sooner you get your entry in the sooner it can be checked on if it's been entered before or if there are other issues.
